Investing in Quality: Genuine Leather Diaper Bags That Last Beyond the Baby Years

Updated: Oct 9

I have been on the quest for the perfect diaper bag since becoming a mom. In this post we will explore high luxury diaper bag options along with budget friendly finds that will give you a bag that will outlast the baby years. These bags can double as a favorite office or travel purse that you will put to use for years to come.

Are you like me where you obsess over what you need in a baby bag? My first diaper bag I bought was black. Everything was black. I still use that diaper bag often. It’s large and roomy and my husband doesn’t mind wearing it. Since my first baby is a toddler, I use my Aimee Kestenberg backpack. It’s not a diaper bag but fits everything I need plus diapers and wipes. I think since moving out of the city I want more of a warmer or natural color this time around. I spent time to research the best baby bags right now and here are some options I found. I was looking mostly for genuine leather bags because I am not a fan of vegan leather and I found some fun options.

Because I am sure you have similar thoughts that may be keeping you up at night when you have your pregnancy nesting anxiety, I decided to list out some of my favorite diaper bag options and why. I would love to know your thoughts and which ones you enjoy so leave your diaper bag choice in the comments.

I am not going to rate these diaper bags, but I will list what I think about each one.

Here’s what I am looking for in a baby bag as a second time mom:

  • A bag that can be a backpack and a cross body or a purse and a cross body

  • Has a place for a laptop

  • If it looks like leather I want it to actually be leather —That faux leather never lasts and starts looking cheap

  • Has a place for one of my water bottle

  • Colors I am looking for are a light leather, pink, or a cream

  • Is at a good price

  • Has a place for baby bottles

  • Can be used as a purse or backpack when I am not out with the kids
